Kingsland Self Storage Policy for Storage Units

  • Do not store any food items or combustible materials in units.
  • Rent will not be invoiced. It is payable at the renewal date each month. A $45.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks.
  • Units must be locked. We do sell locks in the office or you may provide one yourself.
  • Guns, flammables, chemicals, cleaning supplies, explosives, and poisons are not permitted as storage items.
  • Weed eaters, lawnmowers, any item that holds gas or oil and/or has fumes are not permitted.
  • Cars may not be stored as items. (outside storage slots available)
  • Motorcycles are permitted as long as the fuel tank is empty.
  • Businesses may not be conducted from within a storage unit.
  • You must notify the main office prior to vacating your unit, and verify the final balance upon moving out.  If office is not notified, you are still responsible for the rent.
  • Do not play any type of musical instrument inside the unit.
  • Garage sales, auction, flea markets, and any other variety of sales are not permitted in a unit.
  • No smoking inside any of the buildings or units.
  • No alcohol or firearms are permitted in or around any of the buildings or units.
  • All trash must be removed before moving out of a unit.
  • Only customers listed on the contract are allowed access to the units.
  • All customers will sign a renter’s contract of agreement for each unit.

 

 

Self Storage Tips

  • Plan the storage of all your items carefully.
  • Make an inventory of your items being stored and keep it in a safe place.
  • Stack lighter boxes on top and heavier boxes on bottom.
  • Dishes and glasses should be wrapped in packing paper and place in dish boxes.
  • Pictures and mirrors should be wrapped and marked “FRAGILE”.
  • Furniture with drawers can be great storage places for smaller items.
  • Larger appliances make great packing cases for smaller items.
  • Shovels, hoes, rakes, etc., can be stored in empty trash cans.
  • Sofas and love seats should be stored on end to save room.
  • Mattresses should be stood on end to save room.
  • It is not recommended to use newspapers to pack anything, because the ink could stain your possessions.
